Weekend!

My weekend was so happening! *yeah*

To kick-start, I met Peirling in TPY to go for a ahircut at our favourite salon. But was disappointed when my stylist is on leave. Grr.. So we settled for lunch at pastamania AGAIN. Soon, we bid goodbye. And I start my shopping spree!!

I started off at 1.30pm, at Taka, alone. I was to meet SZ at 3pm at Raffles City, but I've got things to get. So, first, I bought am Art Brush from Art friend at Taka. Not that I'm into art nowadays. I need it to draw my gel eyeliner which I will be buying later. I had taken down the part number of the brush when it was reccomended by a girl from forum. It didn't take e long to find. But I'm totally engrossed in the shop. There's so much art stuff to fondle with. From different type of papers, to colour pens, to brushes, to different type of paints, to clays, to shaped styroform, to colour glitters, to storage boxes, to stickers, to engraving materials, to nylon strings, to chemical dissolvers, etc etc! A paradise for Art pple! I was almost tempted to get some stuff to do some art and craft on my own. But I know I will end up 'buying more and more useless stuff'. Please do not deceive myself of things I won't do. *hahaha*

I went off to meet SZ at Raffles City. I nearly thought NTU was at JB when she called at 2.50pm that she's leaving hall, but yet to see her until 3.30pm. She said her flight was postponed due to bad weather conditions. Nice one girl. Lame but funny!!

1st Stop. M.A.C. Its a paradise for those frequent makeup users with its wide range of colours and quality makeup. But of course, with a price to pay. One good premuim product for cosmetics. I've been eyeing for the talk-about eyeliner - Fluidline. A gel type eyeliner. Being a total noob in this, I decide to give it a try. The MA (Makeup Assistant) did suggest alternative like a pencil liner. But the stubborn me just REFUSED. Haha! I'm actually eyeing at 3 colours - 1.Blacktrack - Normal black colour eyeliner. 2. Blue Peep - An electrifying blue colour. 3. Frostlite - A white colour with glitters. All three are the essentials. But for a no-choice-but-seldom-makeup girl like me, I'm happy with 2. I can replace Frostlite (used to line the lower lashline by some) by white glitters from eyeshadow pots. So, Blacktrack and Blue Peep are mine. Each at $27.

In addition, I'm tired of my low grade pressed powder (PP). I bought my first but low grade PP some few months back as I wanted to switch of foundation to PP to avoid harm on my skin. Its coverage is sufficient for normal outings. I'll keep my Liquid Foundation (LF) for special occasions like D&D, or weddings, etc. And since my LP, is always making me so fair and its premium price, is making me so heart wrenched every time I use it. So, here another item in my shopping cart. I was between Blot PP and Select Sheer. Both from MAC, but blot is more for touchups and Select Sheer is for more coverage. So..
Select Sheer's for me, at $38. *yeah* I'm a happy girl. (Except for the very unfriendly makeup assistant) I wanted to get blusher and eyeshadows too. But was dampened with I saw the colours and the unfriendly makeup assistant which was of no help. Grrr.. Damage at MAC = $92.

Next, I was torn between Shiseido and Shu Urema's eyelash curler. Both good, but Shu's much is now using Shiseido's and she's very pleased with the results it delivers, I bought myself one too. Damage at Shiseido = $16.

Enough of cosmetics, we headed to Marina Square.

We weren't shopping for anything in particular, but I was looking ard for some accessories, clutch bag and maybe a dress for my company D&D this Fri. We were caught by this high class Baleno - Baleno:Attitude. A v.nice tube top which can be a halter caught our site. Not my kind of clothing, but its definitely SZ's!! Its really nice! Bright sexy red!! After she decides to buy it, I was caught by something! Heehee. An necklace that fits perfectly to my D&D theme - A Decade of stars! But the price tore me apart. $70. BUT when I was told it was at 50% off, I asked for a new piece. Heehee. It has the very glam look. SZ was also tempted! But she control herself by requesting that I lend it to her when she needs. Since we both can't wear the same thing if we go for the same function. Haha. Too pretty to resist!

Baleno:Attitude is really a price to get cheap deals. SZ's top was priced at $18. We thought its already quite cheap, only to realise that there's 50% off for hers too. Double hurray!

This marks the end of our shopping. I was tired. But shopping with her for cosmetic and beauty stuff will never be boring. At least I won't feel guilty for buying so much cosmetics, better quality counter cosmetics. It is not to say that we don't use drugstore produts, just that some things are worth spending. Drugstore stuff like Maybelline's Sky High Curve is good! And since mascara dried up in 3 month's time, a drugstore brand is sufficient. In mechanical terms, you may buy a Hyundai car to meet your needs of travelling. You may buy a Honda car to have have performance while travelling. *Wahahaha* OK, back to.... BK for dinner before we hunt for flowers. Andy's performing for Cultural night, so... she'll need to get flowers. There're so many occasions that we chance upon yellow roses. But I remember yellow roses are for seperation. Its such a long walk to hunt down the final bouquet - A large bouquet of lilies! A tough hunt from Marina all the way to Suntec. Andy better appreciates it.

There's some guilt in me when I went for Cultural night. I know I will meet this old pal - demoner. Its not as if we quarrelled. But I was guilty for not attending his Hexis. Very guilty in fact. But I have my reasons.

I like the opening dance, and the Bass Band (or brass band? I don't know) BEST! ;p Well done Sixians!

Today, I wanted to either get a new dress to match my necklace or get another necklace to match my old dress. So, I got a dress. Not very expensive compared to what my colleague, Ni, spend. Mine's only $79.90.

I've got a clutch bag from the shop "Accesories". Its a little mismatch as its pink and my dress is black, heels are silver, necklace is silver/gold. But its the only colour and its the only cutch bag I find it nice in my eyes and I'll use it for my future outings. Quite reasonable at $21.90.

Last item of the day. Fancl Cleansing Oil to remove my eye makeup. Not that I don't have an eye makeup remover, but mine was a 3-in-1. Its not effective for waterproof mascara and eyeliners. So I decide to get this since I forsee myself using eye makeup more and more.

End of 2-day wonderful spree. Not exact amount, but total damage of about $250.

(Disclaimer #2: All these are not for Hao Lian purpose. As "i-dunno-who" did the analysis for me mention that I'm proud which even myself sincerely unable to deny also, this post is solely for my satisfaction for shooping spree. Its not many time I can shop like that. At least I don't spend so much over a weekend. But again, you have the freedom to your own mind. Read at your own discretion.)

Its not very good. This is my very first attempt on eye lining. I've never even used a eye lining pencil before. Shall practise more to make my pot of eyeliner worthwhile. SZ, does it look OK? I applied some shimmering powder under my lower lids. *hiao*
